Education in the Community

At Boehringer Ingelheim we pride ourselves on being a good community partner. We consistently encourage the high school students within our community to pursue careers in the scientific fields. We have been proud to offer two programs in particular to high school students in the Ridgefield, Connecticut area:
Scientific Scholars
Scientific Scholars is a scholarship and internship program that Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals Inc. offers to high school students to encourage high performing students to pursue an education in the areas of math and/or science. The program has been in effect for the past 15 years and was initiated by Research and Development scientists.
Partners in Science
Partners in Science is a program where Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals Inc. invites high performing Junior or Senior year high school students to participate in a six week series of science lectures facilitated by Research and Development employees. Lectures are held once a week at the Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceutical campus located in Ridgefield, Connecticut.
